Today I was called to HP Designjet 500 plus plotter repair in West London because the carriage belt was completely shredded. This seemed to be straight forward belt replacement at first, but after installing the carriage belt the plotter came up with an 22:10 error code which points to an issue with the service station. There is a protocol that must carried on the machine out when this happens which i have listed below:
- Take off the right hand side cover
- Check and reset all cables particularly the ones going to the service station.
- Check no pins are bent
- Check you have not locked the encoder wheel ink station.
- Try again if all this fails if not the replace service station.
?Unfortunately on this ocassion it was a service station failure, so we quoted the customer for a station service replacement.
